The latest trends presented by eBay

This year, eBay presents the latest market trends, studied via its eBay.fr website.
1 in 2 French people will be doing their Christmas shopping on the Internet, including 5% via their smartphone – a small revolution in the world of online shopping. We also note that for 67% of French people, shopping online saves time, although Christmas shopping remains a woman’s business, with 76% of women doing it in the household.
The average amount spent by the French on Christmas presents is up €60 on 2010. This year, it will be 270€, most of which will be spent on gifts for the children and then for the spouse.
The “non-gift” budget (decoration, food, travel…) is 190€, bringing the total to an average of 460€ for Christmas 2011!
The eBay bonus: This year, Christmas shopping will be made easier by the site thanks to a new function, the Whish List. It’s surprisingly simple and practical, and involves compiling a list of all the items you’ve spotted on eBay.co.uk, and sharing it with friends and family to ensure you receive the best Christmas gifts… Tailor-made!
