Barbour Polo Club collection
Barbour creates a dedicated polo collection for spring-summer 2013
An equestrian discipline popularized by England, polo is making a comeback on the fashion scene with its chic, racy and graphic wardrobe. Barbour, a long-standing partner of the elite Household Cavalry team, is launching a new lifestyle line for spring-summer 2013, based on the emblematic codes of this spectacular sport.
Men’s Polo Club Collection
The epitome of sport chic, Barbour’s men’s Polo Club collection offers a complete line of jackets, polo shirts and T-shirts. Made from 4oz waxed cotton, the Mane jacket is inspired by Barbour’s classic Bedale cut, available in navy blue and bark brown. The Short Rambler jacket, with its short, straight cut, is waterproof and breathable, a functional classic ideal with jeans and a T- shirt.
Two quilted jackets complete the range: the Liddesdale Regimentalls, with two large pockets, and the Saddlemoor, with three pockets and a stand-up collar to be worn rolled up.The polo shirts, the heart of the collection, borrow the graphic stripes of Household Cavalry competition polo shirts in racing green, white and red. The Chukker polo features the iconic V-stripe. The Warm Up jacket, Polo Club blazer and Flagman Zip Through jacket play the sporty chic polo card off the playing field.
“Barbour has been a sponsor of the Household Cavalry polo team for over ten years, and this new collection pays tribute to this long-standing partnership. With its sophisticated yet relaxed allure in the purest spirit of casual chic, the new Polo Club collection is a perfect match for Barbour’s heritage,” says Ian Bergin, designer of the men’s collections.
