Roxy launches the “DARE YOURSELF” contest on social networks to live the dream of a Roxy Girl!

Following on from the success of “Let The Sea Set You Free”, Roxy is launching a new international contest, “DARE YOURSELF”, to create a community of creative young women (+18) on social networks. Their dream? Live like a Roxy girl… The prize: an exceptional trip to a secret destination, $5,000 in prize money and a Roxy wardrobe.

“DARE YOURSELF” is a 100% digital international competition. With “DARE YOURSELF”, Roxy invites all girls over 18 to give their best to offer themselves the dream life of a Roxy girl. The 5 winners will receive the trip of a lifetime with the Roxy pro team, a $5,000 prize and a Roxy wardrobe.

How to get involved
The competition involves 5 regions of the globe: North America, Latin America, North Asia, South Asia, Europe (including Africa and the Middle East).
Starting today, Thursday, January 24, candidates are invited to post on the ROXY Facebook page a short 150-word text accompanied by 3 photos or a one-minute video creatively illustrating just how big their dreams and desires for adventure and new experiences are.

From March 29, candidates will be put to the vote via Facebook. The 150 most popular candidates will be selected for the next stage.
On April 12, a ROXY jury will select 10 finalists from each region of the world from these 150 candidates, who will be asked to create a new video.

On June 25, a Roxy jury will select the 5 winners (one from each region).

Contest content, including the Facebook page, ROXY videos and all other elements, will be translated into 11 languages.

For the duration of the competition, candidates will also be invited to take part in weekly challenges and post images and news on all social networks using the hashtag: #ROXYDARES.

The 2012 Let the Sea Set You Free in a nutshell
“DARE YOURSELF” follows the unprecedented success of Roxy’s 2012 Let the Sea Set You Free campaign. The competition created a community of interactive users who provided an unrivalled volume of unique content generated by and for consumers. Let the Sea Set You Free garnered 5,000 entries in 83 countries, over 730,000 votes from Internet users and 1.9 million visits to the contest site.

Internet voting: March 29 – April 12
Announcement of the 50 finalists (10 per region): May 2
Videos to be posted by the 50 finalists: May 31
Internet user voting for videos: May 31 – June 10
Winners announced: June 25
