The birth of a jacket specialist.

Luxury at an affordable price.
“What we’re passionate about is work well done, beautiful fabrics, beautiful cuts, delicate wear – in short, everything that makes a garment last a long time”. Laure Farret and Samy Thuillier, creators of the new Cavalier Bleu brand, are both just 25 years old. And they are determined to offer women luxury jackets at affordable prices.

On the face of it, nothing predisposed this simple, pleasant and elegant duo to take on this challenge. Neither their business studies, nor their latest position as financial consultants. Fashion? They’d only come into contact with it as television viewers and avid magazine readers.
Creation of the Cavalier Bleu brand
Samy needed a trigger. It came from a phrase once uttered by Pierre Bergé, ex-CEO of Yves Saint Laurent: “If you follow highways, all you’ll find are service stations. If you take the side roads, you’ll really meet each other”. The young man changed professions and launched his concept in 2010. Laure followed a few months later. Their brand name? Cavalier Bleu. It’s a dreamlike name that reflects their love of equestrianism and this cosmic hue. It’s also the name of a group of 20th-century avant-garde painters led by Kandinsky, August Macke and Paul Klee. What’s the connection? The same spirit of openness and the same desire to make their work accessible to a wider public.
Luxury jackets at affordable prices
Cavalier Bleu is a new collection of quality warp and weft jackets for all occasions. Store and online prices? From 650 to 850 euros. Between mass-market and designer prices. Surveys conducted by Laure Farret and Samy Thuillier among women of all ages revealed that the jacket is an essential wardrobe staple, serving as the highlight of both day and evening outfits. It offers elegance and self-confidence in all circumstances. The lack of specialists and choice in this type of article led them to fill this gap.
Team know-how
The Cavalier Bleu design duo went on the hunt for a stylist. They wanted him to be “concerned and enthusiastic”. With Jean-Luc Testu, former artistic director of Thierry Mugler Homme, it was a real encounter. Through his contact, the two founders of the brand deepened their taste for beautiful materials, cuts and finishes. The choice of milliner naturally fell on the expertise of a Parisian atelier specializing in the very high-end. Laure Farret and Samy Thuillier admire the work of these true pros, the atmosphere of the workshops, the passage from sketch to realization, the delicate assembly of garment parts, the fragile assembly of prototypes with pins. A magical, meticulous creation in which the word luxury takes on its full meaning.
