Sometimes what makes the most of an outfit, what makes it trendy, is a little je ne sais quoi that makes all the difference.
And where to find those little things that change everything, that define our style and make it unique? Well, on Je Ne Sais Quoi !!!!
Je Ne Sais Quoi (JNSQ) is an e-boutique that offers a selection of international brands of chic ready-to-wear and accessories for men and women, as well as a selection of lifestyle items. These brands demonstrate a craftsmanship for timeless products of impeccable quality, that everyone can wear according to their desires: unique jewelry, timeless jackets, ready-to-wear chic, cashmere scarves, wallets, leather and handmade cuff bracelets, designer watches, interior design in Egyptian cotton …
Because a woman must have in her wardrobe the essentials of each season whatever her style, 5 MUST-HAVES silhouettes are proposed for each JNSQ collection mixing ready-to-wear and accessories. 5 styles composed of 5 elements, 5 women of today: Vicky the city chic, Eleonore soft and elegant, Emilie who prefers to be looked in the eyes, Audrey mischievous and feminine and finally Lily urban and sophisticated.
JNSQ’s clientele is sophisticated and multi-cultural, just like its creator Mireille Nigourney, who was raised in France by American parents. After studying Art History, Mireille worked as a fashion press assistant at the Chanel Fashion Press Department, then as a sales executive responsible for the American continent, Western Europe and Australia for Linda Farrow Vintage, a luxury brand specialized in sunglasses. She decided to create her own boutique and selected brands mostly produced locally, difficult to find internationally with a restrictive distribution policy and a dedication to quality craftsmanship:
“I have several ways to select my brands but the common factor is always the love I have for a designer. Whether the brand is trendy or not, I must first of all like it visually but also by the quality of the product, whether it’s the finishing touches, the raw materials, or the packaging. It’s a whole thing. The selection is really a personal choice, it’s my taste but it’s also a selection of pieces that I can easily imagine being worn by my friends who all have quite diverse and varied looks.”
The clothing and accessory brands represented on the site include: Ettinger luxury leather goods brand from England, LnA fetish t-shirt brand from L.A., Heimstone the French glam’rock brand, Smythe Les Vestes, Catherine Michiels designer of ribbon pendants, Judith Haas handmade jewelry brand, Siwa creations brand of community projects from the Siwa eco-lodge which includes the luxury production of handmade objects, Yarnz cashmere scarves brand from New-York, Moio scarf brand, Ila&I precious jewels from Texas, Owen&Savary cuff bracelets, Tali Gillette pendant designer and LIP watches.
The art of living section offers a selection of aprons from Caroline Blavec as well as German cashmere plaids from Zoeppritz.
Always in the optics to propose us the best brands, the creations of Lamia Benalycherif are proposed to us recently by Mireille Nigourney and other brands are to come on JNSQ:
“We’ve just added Lamia Benalycherif’s creations – unique necklaces made from recycled pieces or accumulated during her many travels around the world, and we’ll soon be receiving the collection of lingerie designer, Odile de Changy, as well as ready-to-wear from an American brand. Lots of great things to discover for the fall, including a selection of men’s ready-to-wear from Belgium and Los Angeles.
It is quite difficult to choose between all the brands offered but my favorites are Ila&I, Ettinger, Heimstone and of course the Owen&Savary wristbands that I can’t resist.
Ila&I is the brainchild of a sibling duo of designers from Texas. Their jewelry creations are elegant, feminine and modern, the originality being in the combination of raw materials such as ebony
and precious materials such as gold and diamonds. The fleur de lys range combining ebony and fleur de lys will give a chic touch to any casual outfit.
Ettinger is one of the last remaining English luxury leather goods houses, known for its exceptional craftsmanship, chic design and quintessentially English style. In 1996, the company obtained a Royal Warrant to supply HRH The Prince of Wales. With limited distribution, Je Ne Sais Quoi is one of only three e-tailers to offer Ettinger products. Their Picadilly tote is just a must-have!
Heimstone, combining a touch of glam’ rock and sensuality through its masterpiece the dress, the French brand represents well the style of the young modern and eternally feminine Parisian who knows how to show off with taste. The samurai dress is ideal for a chic but modern Parisian evening.
When you try on an Owen&Savary cuff bracelet, it becomes very, very hard to resist. I tried a lizard model and found it very difficult to remove from my wrist. Owen&Savary was born from the meeting between Kira Owen and Valerie Savary in South Africa. In memory of this country and this encounter, they have made a pair of kudu horns, a South African antelope, their logo which can be found on each clasp. The particularity of their bracelets, besides the fact that they are made of the best skins: the clasp that adjusts to all sizes and allows to attach the bracelet with one hand without effort. The bracelets are available in lambskin, python, stingray or crocodile, in a range of gorgeous colors and in two widths. Try it and you will be won over.
But if you really want to be able to find your little Je Ne Sais Quoi, go to the site. I’ve already found my own.
