UJOH’s Autumn-Winter 2023 collection is a perfect blend of modernity and sophistication, thanks to the skilful application of the brand’s signature techniques. While retaining a touch of quirkiness, the collection offers a beautiful, contemporary look, with jackets in slightly unusual shapes, overlays with ambiguous edges and other subtly integrated elements. The garments can be freely combined to suit all genders and morphologies, the result of efforts to explore the relationship between clothing and the human body, resulting in a smart, seductive look.
This season’s highlights include utilitarian garments such as dungarees, mid-layer pants and separate jackets held together by suspenders. Men’s jackets and women’s skirts and dresses are printed with petals of light, inspired by Yukio Nakagawa’s legendary 2002 performance Tenku Sange (“Offering to Heaven”), as well as red blossoms expressing the lush vitality of flowers. Men’s twill wool is also decorated with charms crafted in hand and eye motifs, making this season’s iconic items even more symbolic.
Key colors are the brand’s signature olive gray and navy chalk stripes. With this, UJOH incorporates new dark, sensual tones such as wool gabardine in old rose and Payne grey, as well as fabrics in mulberry, bottle green and pinkish brown to create a color palette perfect for fall and winter. This season’s collection shows that the brand continues to explore and reinvent its own identity, offering a unique fashion experience for style lovers.
