FENDI and the Académie de France à Rome – Villa Médicis have joined forces, with the support of Mobilier national⁎, to reenchant the six reception rooms of the Villa Médicis, unveiling a new décor that gives pride of place to contemporary creation and design.

The vision provided by the project’s two artistic directors, Kim Jones, artistic director of Couture and FENDI Women’s Ready-to-Wear Collections, and Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of Accessories and FENDI Men’s Collections, has contributed to a metamorphosis based on a dialogue between contemporary design and heritage, establishing Villa Medici as a place where know-how is perpetuated and the heritage of tomorrow is invented.

FENDI reaffirms its commitment to the preservation of artistic heritage through an exclusive partnership and sponsorship, further strengthening the House of FENDI’s unfailing link with the Eternal City, a major source of inspiration throughout this project.

The FENDI Set book by Nikolai Von Bismarck – whose photos were exhibited in the renovated salons on the occasion of the book’s Roman signing – is a common thread between the Maison and the Villa Medici – using the building as a backdrop to explore the three generations of FENDI women: a fitting historical canvas to reunite Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Delfina Delettrez Fendi – Artistic Director of Jewelry – with Silvia Venturini’s youngest daughter, Leonetta Luciano Fendi, and Mrs. Anna Fendi, Silvia Venturini Fendi’s mother.

Numerous distinguished guests, friends of the house and from the worlds of art, culture, fashion and cinema, celebrated this collaboration at a cocktail party at Villa Medici on Thursday December 15.
