2016 was a great vintage, thanks to record rainfall between January and June, mild weather during flowering and a hot, dry summer. September and October are magnificent. Alternating cool nights and sunny days optimize fruit development.
Château Fourcas Hosten 2016, made from 55% Merlot, 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Cabernet Franc, has a racy profile, combining complexity and elegance. It reveals notes of perfectly ripe, fresh red fruit. The palate is dense, full-bodied and voluminous. The tannins are smooth.
