To celebrate the release of the next James Bond film, Dying Can Wait, this November, Blackwell Rum is delighted to announce its partnership with the 007 film franchise. Chris Blackwell, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and owner of Ian Fleming’s former home, GoldenEye, is launching a special limited edition of his Blackwell Fine Jamaican rum. The 70cl bottle will be sold for €35 at wine merchants and on the website.
The limited edition rum features an augmented reality experience accessible via a QR code on the bottle, where Chris Blackwell, who is best known for discovering Bob Marley, comes to life to share life stories, music selections, cocktail recipes and other exclusive content.
“James Bond has always played an important role in my life, from my childhood lunches with Ian Fleming at the GoldenEye to my role as location scout for the first film, Dr. No (1962). It was a real pleasure to work with the Mourir peut attendre production team in Jamaica, and to supply our iconic rum for the set of James Bond’s house. It brought this very special relationship full circle,” says Chris Blackwell.
Blackwell Rum is inspired by a traditional family recipe. This rich, black-gold-scented aged rum reveals the warmth and sensuality of Jamaica. “It’s a rum that celebrates Jamaica, my friendships and also my family heritage,” adds Chris Blackwell.
