Each fragrance begins with an idea. It takes shape around an exceptional, multi-faceted natural raw material. Aurélien chooses to attenuate or highlight some of these facets, then to magnify them through his compositional work.
PARISIAN MUSC
FIRST IDEA: “a woody musk
MAIN RAW MATERIAL: Ambrette seed Peru
CREATIVE APPROACH: Reinforce the woody character of Ambrette with Essence Virginie Cedar. The musky facet is amplified by Ambrettolide Suprême. Ambroxan binds the wood to the musks.
NEROLI ORANGER
FIRST IDEA: “working with the purity of Orange Blossom”.
MAIN RAW MATERIAL: Orange Blossom Absolute Tunisia
CREATIVE APPROACH: Emphasize the fresh, radiant facet with Neroli Essence Liban and Bergamot Essence Italie. Amplify the delicate floral character with Ylang-Ylang Essence Comores and floral Musks.
COLOGNE CEDRAT
FIRST IDEA: “create a Hesperides wake”.
MAIN RAW MATERIAL: Citron Essence Italy
CREATIVE APPROACH: Black Pepper Essence Madagascar and Pink Berry Essence Argentina are used to amplify the fresh spicy facet. Bergamot Essence Italy and Maté Absolu Paraguay underline the tea facet to prolong freshness.
SANTAL AUSTRAL
FIRST IDEA: “A sensual white wood”.
MAIN RAW MATERIAL: Sandalwood Essence Bio Australia
CREATIVE APPROACH: Accentuate the velvety-creamy facet with a note of Iris Absolu Toscane almond milk. Reinforce the comfortable, addictive facet with Benjoin Absolu Laos and Fève Tonka Absolu Venezuela.
EBONY WOOD
FIRST IDEA: “a Bois Noir Ambré
MAIN RAW MATERIAL: Guaiac wood Paraguay species
CREATIVE APPROACH: Reinforce the woody density of Guaiac with Patchouli Essence Indonesia and Cypriol Essence India. The amber facet is accentuated by the addition of Cabreuva wood Essence Brazil.
SUAVE INCENSE
FIRST IDEA: “An addictive, carnal black incense”.
MAIN RAW MATERIAL: Incense Resin Somalia
CREATIVE APPROACH: The sensuality of the Incense note is accentuated by Ciste Labdanum Absolu Andalousie and Benjoin Absolu Laos. The gourmand facet is supported by Café Extraction Venezuela and Vanille Absolu Madagascar.
