Louis Vuitton presents a new version of its legendary Tambour watch. The Tambour New Wave echoes the latest leather goods collections. The legendary “V” of the House, more than a symbol, marks membership of a new tribe, young and inspiring, concerned with know-how and in search of new icons.
An original quilted dial
The challenge taken up by the dial-makers at the Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton was to visually feel the softness of leather at the edge of a normally flat surface. Thanks to their know-how, the craftsmen used a very special striking technique to achieve the desired effect. In this way, the V plays with the slightest sparkle and expresses the watch’s character, leaving the “Vuitton” signature at its center.
Very watchmaking finishes
To accompany this delicate dial, the hour-markers are finished in brilliant polish. On the periphery, the minute track is punctuated with the emblematic Monogram flowers. A delicacy that the animated small seconds at 6 o’clock reminds us of at every moment. Turning on itself, it offers a playful and technical ballet that sums up the spirit of this watch.
Configurable as you like
Thanks to its innovative, Louis Vuitton-patented interchangeable strap system, this Tambour New Wave can be customized: from the shiniest to the sleekest, from sporty rubber to precious alligator… Over time, by choosing from among a hundred different straps, the “V” woman never feels constrained. Debossed then silk-screened in multiple colors, the “Rainbow” version on white leather is emblematic of the spirit of the New Wave collection. Offered in three different diameters – 28, 34 and 39.5 mm – this quartz model is also available with crimped lugs on the 34 mm version. The 39.5 mm version features a chronograph function. A partner in our ever-changing daily lives, a chameleon of our desires, the Tambour New Wave is the future totem of the new “V” generation.
