M.A.D.Gallery is delighted to present “Disintegrating X”: an exceptional print by Swiss photographer Fabian Oefner, consisting of an exploded view of a Lamborghini.
Following the “Disintegrating” and “Disintegrating II” series, created from scale models, Fabian Oefner now uses a real car for the first time in one of his highly acclaimed images. And not just any car: the iconic 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV.
“Creating one of my works with a real car has always been a dream of mine. One day, a friend said to me, “I’ve got a Miura and I’m going to have it restored. Could you use it to create one of your Disintegrating images…?” He obviously didn’t have to ask me twice, working on one of my favorite cars, touching every last screw and every part of this legend, and bringing them together in a single composition… it’s a dream come true!” says Fabian Oefner in an interview with Lamborghini magazine.
It took Fabian two years to complete this work, during which time he and his team travelled to the various workshops around the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata/Italy, to photograph every part of the car, taking advantage of the fact that it was being restored. The final image, made up of over 1,500 individual shots, achieves a level of hyper-reality unseen in the artist’s previous works.
“Disintegrating X” is available in two formats:

– 230×115 cm (limited to 8 prints + 2 artist’s editions)
