MOSCOT EMBLEMATIC NEW YORK BRAND OPENS ITS FIRST BOUTIQUE IN PARIS
Now 103 years old, MOSCOT, New York’s famous eyewear institution, continues to strengthen its presence in Europe with the opening of a flagship store in the capital.
After London and Rome, MOSCOT, the illustrious family brand, opts for a prime Paris location in the historic Marais district. “We wanted to create a harmony between MOSCOT’s unique, classic and quirky aesthetic and the historic Parisian district of Le Marais, where charm and diversity reign,” said Harvey Moscot, fourth generation and CEO of the brand. “We are honored by the continued enthusiasm of our fans around the world, and especially in France. This unique location is in keeping with our history, our spirit and our core values: quality, service and, above all, customer satisfaction.
This new outlet will showcase the entire MOSCOT eyewear collection in a world reminiscent of the famous family: vintage ambiance, retro objects and ceilings directly imported from New York – typical of the architecture of old Manhattan. It’s also a place of special emotion and nostalgia, with reminders of Grandma Sylvia Moscot’s old living room, whose legendary photo is printed on the MOSCOT canvas bag used by fans.
“There are similarities between the Lower East Side and Le Marais neighborhoods; Indeed, they were once renowned for their small specialty stores and street vendors of various items and trinkets, which they sold from their little carts,” adds Zack Moscot, fifth generation and head designer. “To enter a MOSCOT store is to live a typically New York cultural experience. Here, the traditional charm of the past meets contemporary chic, with a touch of Lower East Side personality. ”
