MATICEVSKI

In an unexpected format, Toni Maticevski produced a series of 4 repeated show moments for his SS18 collection. When guests arrived at Galerie Secrète in Saint Germain, they were greeted by a visual wall structure inspired by Mies Van Der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion, featuring contrasting slices of agate and marble. Creating a backdrop of modernist decadence, each look presented by Maticevski became a halo and an exclamation point in the background. Each outfit was a true exclamation point in its environment and a powerful statement in color and tone, but also rich in texture.

The Collection –

A reinterpretation of familiar notes such as full skirts, soft volumes and abstract angles play against long, linear silhouettes. Tapered and tangled, she enters into an organic interplay of nature and modern technique in the development of fabrics. The embroidery imitates crocodile. The printed, crumpled fabric fiber moves over the body as it follows the curves. The motto is to combine technology, mastery and nature. Casadei boots and pumps were customized and embellished by Toni Maticevski. Adding a spark of madness and shocking contrast to the structure of the ladylike shades. A spiritual embrace of the unexpected.
