REOPENING OF THE TAISHO TERRACE: AN ENCHANTING, TASTY INTERLUDE ON THE TROCADERO ESPLANADE
Paris -Following its success, Taisho the terrace facing the Eiffel Tower reopens for the 2017 season! The place offers one of the capital’s most striking and prized views, while offering a summer menu in the atmosphere of 1920s Japan.
In a listed environment, on the Trocadero esplanade, the Taisho terrace offers peace and quiet and an unexpected change of scenery in the heart of Paris.

For an intimate, intoxicating experience!
In reference to Japan’s Taisho era of the 1920s, the terrace features elegant, comfortable furnishings and a jazzy soundtrack to help you dream away.
Japanese flavors in the spotlight
Open from 7:00 pm, the Taisho terrace offers a tasty menu: homemade lobster or pork ravioli, tepanyaki skewers and a menu of clubs and salads. A special mention goes to the sushi-sashimi bench, open according to the fish arrivals prepared using the ikejime method.
One of the Capital’s most prestigious Sake bars
The Bar offers an ambitious Saké menu.
Served chilled like wine, sake develops bewitching, refined aromas. Taisho’s head sommelier also organizes tastings to discover the finesse and richness of this rice wine, unjustly ignored in France.
Summer creations on a Japanese note include Umeshu Soda, Litchi Bellini and Sakerinha.
A unique cigar lounge in Paris
“As George Sand aptly summed it up, cigars ‘numb sorrow and fill lonely hours with a million pleasant things’. We wanted to extend this experience of unexpected pleasure offered by the Taisho terrace by setting up a cigar lounge, facing the glittering Eiffel Tower,” explains Alexis L. Powilewicz, President and Director of the Aquarium de Paris
. A very wide selection of cigars from Cuba and elsewhere is on offer. The elaborate list of eaux de vie perfectly matches the olfactory power and infinite aromatic palette of the cigars on offer.
