Cindy Chao The Art Jewel presents her new Haute Joaillerie creations.
CINDY CHAO The Art Jewel unveiled its new creations at the Ritz during Haute Couture week in July, twelve magnificent pieces of Haute Joaillerie revealing artist Cindy Chao’s unique perspective on the world.
The highlights of the collection are the Black Label 2017 masterpieces, the Maison’s most prestigious and exclusive range, for which Cindy Chao seeks out only the rarest gemstones. To achieve perfection, each piece is crafted around a meticulous creation process that can take up to two years.
During this year’s show, Cindy Chao presented a magnificent ring from the Ribbon collection featuring a 1.50-carat red diamond. There are fewer than 30 certified red diamonds in the world, making this piece even more exceptional.
Cindy Chao has also brought a new interpretation to her emblematic motifs in the Four Seasons collection. The new pair of Winter Leaves brooches testifies to the artist’s desire to make a technical breakthrough by using sophisticated metals such as titanium.
The pair of Conch Pearl Rose earrings fromthe Rose collection presents Cindy Chao’s vision of the Pink Garden (Giardino delle Rose) in Florence. The pair features two conch pearls weighing 30.01 carats in total and more than ten shades of yellow diamonds on the petals, while the new collection is enriched by White Label pieces. This year, Cindy Chao has created a brand-new collection of dragonflies, under the name Dragonfly, a collection for which the artist spent six years working to achieve the desired perfection. The initial phase of the wax sculpture was made a dozen times, as Cindy Chao strove to capture the essence of the insect.
The Conch Pearl Dragonfly brooch has a very natural look. Energetic and vigorous, it embodies Cindy Chao’s pioneering spirit, which has always been reflected in her creations.
The Emerald Dragonfly brooch struggles to make its way through the storm, its curved wings remaining elegant. Its bravery is a reminder of the artist’s perseverance in the face of technical challenges.
The two dragonflies, with their asymmetrical silhouettes, are an ode to life, reminding us that, as in nature, there is no such thing as symmetry.
Equally attractive, the elegant and refined Leaves Tiara from the Four Seasons White Label collection features a new leaf design. The new Maple earrings, larger and even lighter, testify to Cindy Chao’s continuing advancement in her designs.
