AVOC is one of the finalists for ANDAM 2017. Competing in the Creative Label category against Marine Serre and the NÏUKU label, the duo has been offering fashion that goes beyond the sphere of clothing since 2013. It’s a scenic fashion that’s lived and seen. Fabrics like filmstrips; suspenseful collections for consumption in reverse. A rereading of fashion through a universe as zany as it is bizarrely common.
The coronation of AVOC

After a first runway show at Paris Men’s Fashion Week in January 2016, AVOC received recognition from the most influential fashion magazines. Laura Do and Sébastien Laurent have been compared to Martin Margiela. Their fashion is one that reconciles architecture and clothing, romance and street wear, and challenges genre boundaries. Highlight of the story? Far from it. There are still strings to be pulled: one of the tense scenes will be played out on June 30. The jury of L’ANDAM, a prize that has been supporting the development of fashion and the arts since 1989, will deliberate after a fashion show, and announce the recipients of a prize worth 10,000 euros. Enough for the collective to stir up chaos, and stage it in a fashion all their own.
The sublime in the familiar

If one definition of fashion is that of a tangible good intended for adornment, an object of adornment for appearances, and its history is exhibited at the Musée des Arts Décoratif, at AVOC decor takes on a different dimension. Off-screen, the decorations of our lives become the essence of AVOC fashion. In short, AVOC fashion takes a walk in the park, a chat on the terrace or a ride on the 91 bus as the basis for its collections and its own films. More than just creating a wardrobe, Laurent and Laura reinvigorate the staging aspect of fashion. They offer art direction, scenography and interior design services. No red lines for the duo.
