From September 11 to 17, 2017, in La Grande Motte, Apo Chantzis, the new strongman of French poker, will organize the APO 2500. A week-long poker festival that is a real event.
During this week of September, numerous tournaments are scheduled, culminating in a €2,500 Main Event. The structure will be exceptional: 30,000 chips and levels of 60, 75 and even 90 minutes on Day 4. This festival is sure to please fans of the beautiful game. Since the end of EPT Deauville, France has been without a major festival. This event promises to attract the regs of the French and even European circuit.
Qualifying for the APO 2500 begins this summer with 8 summer satellites at 400 euros:
– Gujan-Mestras, July 15 and 16
– La Grande Motte, July 22 and 23
– Divonne, July 29 and 30
– Aix-en-Provence, July 29 and 30
– Gujan-Mestras, August 5 and 6
– Cannes August 11 to 13
– La Grande Motte, August 14 and 15
– Divonne, August 26 and 27
Based on a 150-player field: the top 17 players will each pocket €500 and a ticket to the APO 2500 Main Event. There will also be 4 €300 super-satellites on September 3 to win these precious sesames. These sats will take place in Divonne, Gujan-Mestras, La Grande Motte and Saint-Amand-les-Eaux. The organizer expects to qualify at least 200 players.
The festival also features a €4,000 High Roller, a €1,000 Omaha and numerous side events with well-designed structures and payouts. On the main tournaments, re-entry will not be allowed. For those who need to re-enter a tournament, side events will be held throughout the week, with a Big Stack Turbo (09/14), a Bounty Turbo (09/15- 09/16) and a €300 Apo Classic on September 17.
There will also be a number of satellites on September 11, 12 and 13 at La Grande Motte, enabling players to qualify at lower cost. In addition, French poker stars Philippe Ktorza and Antonin Teisseire will act as ambassadors for the festival. A special website dedicated to the event provides all the details: apo2500.fr.
