BOSS Men Fall/Winter 2017
Back to basics On the occasion of New York Men’s Fashion Week, HUGO BOSS unveiled on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, its BOSS collection inspired by two major themes: travel and the nautical world. The tailoring spirit remains at the heart of this new collection with structured, perfectly mastered cuts. Inspired by a new energy, the BOSS line offers ideal pieces for the traveler seeking functionality and performance. The collection plays on stylistic contrasts, mixing oversized silhouettes inspired by the famous BOSS suits of the 80s and 90s with slimmer cuts; tailored suits under functional parkas; or materials such as ultra-worked wool mixed with fine, lightweight nylon. The influence of the nautical world can also be seen in the new BOSS style. Coats and duffle coats cut in thick fabrics with details of multibridles and metallic press studs are the centerpieces of this presentation. Innovation is also at the heart of this collection, with full-volume pieces crafted from technical materials such as boiled wool, reconstituted leather and water-repellent fabrics. Special techniques have been used to create very tight stitching in thick fabrics, resulting in a garment that is both resistant and waterproof. The color palette features off-white, burgundy and dark green, with shades of gray and navy blue. Accessories complete the new BOSS man’s panoply, with chic yet practical bags such as oversized tote bags and navy bags.
