World-renowned for its timeless designs and expertise in gemstones, Tiffany & Co. is one of the oldest Maisons de Haute Joaillerie and a pioneer of American luxury. In 1848, founder Charles Lewis Tiffany was the first to introduce important gemstones to the United States, notably through the purchase of jewelry from aristocratic European families. As a result, he was dubbed “The King of Diamonds” by the New York Times. Later, he was appointed jeweler to the aristocracy of Europe, including England, Austria, Denmark and the Ottoman Empire. Tiffany’s remarkable acquisitions of precious stones reached their peak in 1887, when the House purchased almost a third of the French Crown Jewels.
Charles Lewis Tiffany understood that exceptional diamonds have a hypnotic effect on those who admire them. This belief still holds true today, as demonstrated by the House’s recent Haute Joaillerie creations.

Tiffany artisans have transformed more than 3,000 brilliant-cut diamonds set in a closed setting into a platinum necklace that sparkles like water under a full moon. Linked by 10,000 connections that took more than 1,000 hours to make, the necklace encircles the neck with graceful fluidity, allowing its owner to see herself, and the world around her, in a whole new light.

To bring out their colors and brilliance, Tiffany craftsmen have cut with great precision the different diamond cuts (brilliant, emerald, oval, pear, marquise, princess) that make up these conical earrings. The setters place each stone on a platinum setting that cascades down, framing the face in marvelous brilliance.
