MGallery by Sofitel inaugurated last week the first 5-star hotel in eastern Paris, the Paris Bastille Boutet Hotel.

A true haven of peace in the heart of the authentic Bastille district and close to the Marais, the Paris Bastille Boutet hotel is the first 5-star establishment in eastern Paris. Located at 22-24 rue Faidherbe, it opened its doors last December to offer a hotel experience rich in emotion and discovery in the heart of the lively 11th arrondissement.

A historic voyage of industrial elegance in the heart of Bastille
This first exceptional 5-star hotel is housed in a building that was successively a former wood factory and a chocolate factory formerly known as “Maison Boutet”. Architect Vincent Bastie and designer Astrid Dieterlen have created a true insider’s address, conceived as an elegant starting point for a Parisian getaway in the shelter of this district known for its effervescence and activity. Astrid Dieterlen nurtured her creativity by ” reconciling the history and soul of a place with the demands of our time “, while Vincent Bastie wanted to “ extend the story inside by creating a centerpiece: the monumental staircase “. The final architecture reinterprets the codes of the hotel industry, mixing “art deco” and “industrial elegance”.

In order to preserve the authenticity and spirit of the building, the emphasis was placed on the renovation of the mosaic and the art deco marquee. Thus, the facade of the building, dating from 1926, has been restored to its former glory. This industrial heritage is present in every corner, from the lobby bar, with its leather armchairs, to the wellness area with its white and blue glazed tiles. The hotel offers to all a place full of charm to savor a gourmet interlude around the famous hot chocolate, a nod to its past as a chocolatier.

Beautiful and large green terraces offer a privileged view on the roofs of Paris and an intimate atmosphere make this place a unique hotel, resolutely anchored in our century. Nestled in one of the oldest streets in Paris, the hotel reveals all its facets to welcome hedonistic travelers, business clients and neighbors for a drink at the bar.

The hotel has 80 rooms and suites, including 10 with terraces, spread over 6 floors. In homage to the hotel’s artisanal past, students from the École Boulle were commissioned to create two emblematic suites with different ambiances: the Suite Ebène plays on the theme of sensuality with the duality of dark wood and velvet, while the Suite Teck is successively revealed by a play of boxes arranging the living spaces, revealing an atypical cocoon.
At the heart of the hotel, 150 square metres of wellness areas bathed in light are dedicated to Zen and relaxation. A place of plenitude offering an indoor pool with counter-current jets, a hammam, a sauna and two light therapy showers. The menu of the wellness area offers memorable services with a fabulous cocoa oil treatment, euphoric and antioxidant, as well as massages or scrubs from the prestigious Décléor range, specialist in aromatherapy.
