On January 29 and 30, during the open house of ENSAAMA, the Ecole Normale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art, the Comité Colbert will present the young talents of tomorrow to the general public.
The students exhibiting benefited from programs supported by the committee: the Colbert Chair and the Colbert International Design Workshop.
The first, the Chaire Colbert, created in 2011, offered its twenty-six students the chance to work for six luxury houses, members of the Committee, on enchanting subjects. We can already imagine the smell of salt and the warmth of the sun on our skin when we hear Chanel’s theme: “An ephemeral boutique in a city of water”. As for Pierre Hermé’s “Tea according to Pierre Hermé” theme, it conjures up a skilful blend of aromas, flavours and memories of childhood or faraway lands.

This year, the Colbert International Design Workshop is exhibiting twenty projects created in partnership with theUniversität der Künste in Berlin. This year, for the first time, 5 member companies of the Meisterkreis have joined forces with 5 members of the Comité Colbert, including Sennheiser with Christian Dior Couture, and Leica Camera with Saint-Louis. The common theme, “timeless”, plays with the paradigm of time. Between fluidity and permanence, it sketches a vibrant tribute to luxury, perhaps the only place where permanent innovation rubs shoulders with eternity.
