A few days ago, we were invited to a secret cooking event. Everything was done to make our mouths water, so well was the secret kept. What was this event, whose brand name could not even be revealed to us?

So it was in a Paris showroom that we met to discover what was promised to be a revolution, or at least a culinary evolution.

To say the least, we weren’t disappointed by the surprise.

After a brief introduction, we discovered the Chef Cuisine machine, its ambassador Anne-Sophie Pic and its dishes.

Chef Cuisine is the result of a meeting between Nutresia S.A., a young, dynamic and innovative start-up (run by former employees of major groups including Nestlé), and Anne-Sophie Pic, a world-renowned 3-star chef. Together, they decided to revolutionize the ready-made meals market by offering consumers unrivalled taste and nutritional quality.

On paper, the offer seems quite appealing, but what about the machine, the dishes and the costs? For beyond the ambition of this project, revolutionizing the convenience food industry is no mean feat. It can also prove costly for users.

ChefCuisine - Cookers & Dishes

ChefCuisine offers a unique solution for food lovers who want to eat well every day, but don’t necessarily have the time or inclination to choose and cook their own products. ChefCuisine.com dishes combine pleasure and balance, thanks to carefully selected products prepared according to Anne-Sophie Pic’s recipes. They are available exclusively from ChefCuisine.com.

For Chef Cuisine, Anne-Sophie Pic imagines 30 recipes per season, divided into 3 ranges: the Enchantement Quotidien menu, the Inspiration menu and the Signature menu. Each of these recipes is created using seasonal produce, without preservatives, artificial coloring or flavoring, rigorously selected by the Chef from numerous suppliers. The menu is renewed with the seasons, every 3 months or so, so you can enjoy the best products of the moment, all year round.

But beyond the exceptional quality of the products and recipes selected by the chef, Chef Cuisine is above all a technological revolution. Like Nespresso, which revolutionized coffee, Chef Cuisine offers a real breakthrough. The Chef Cuisine teams, in collaboration with Bruno Goussault, the inventor of sous-vide cooking, have developed an unprecedented cooker that combines culinary know-how and technological innovation. Nutresia S.A. carried out 4 years of research and development to perfect a bain-marie steam cooker. This is an essential element in guaranteeing the quality recommended by Anne-Sophie Pic, who pays particular attention to the cooking stage, which is crucial to the accuracy of a dish.

When mastered down to the last degree, cooking delivers perfect textures, unrivalled flavors and rigorous nutritional quality. Each ingredient is cooked to bring out its best: seared, simmered, deglazed, caramelized. Each cooking process is carefully checked to preserve proteins and vegetables. This thorough cooking, to the exact degree, guarantees the exceptional quality of every dish.

The ChefCuisine concept is available exclusively on the Internet. Consumers can order their cooker and then their dishes on the ChefCuisine.com website.

Here again, the focus is on quality and freshness. The ordering system is characterized by its calendar principle, with customers first choosing the date on which they wish to be delivered. The ingredients are then ordered and the dishes prepared according to the number of requests. Delivery methods vary according to where the order is received. The more in advance an order is placed, the wider the choice of dishes on offer. However, Chefcuisine.com offers a 2-business-day delivery service, so you can also receive your meals quickly.

Once ordered, dishes can be stored in the refrigerator for 7 to 14 days. Simply insert the various Enveloppes Saveurs that make up a dish into the cooker’s compartments, then press the single button to initiate automatic recipe recognition and the appropriate rethermalization program. Child’s play! Once the dishes have been cooked to the right temperature, simply follow the serving instructions and you’re ready to go!

We’ve been testing this product for just over a week now, and we’ll be telling you more about the dishes themselves shortly. But we can already tell you that we’ve been won over by the ease of use and the quality of the dishes. Dishes are reasonably priced at between 8 and 12 euros, and the tasting menu starts at 60 euros for 2 or 3 people, depending on hunger. The dishes are hearty and easy to share.
