During the wine fairs, numerous bottles are on display in supermarkets, wine shops and even online merchants: it’s hard to choose. To help you make up your mind, the Tagawine application allows you to get information via your smartphone, simply by scanning the bottle label.
TAGAWINE “the French wine Shazam
A forerunner in France, Tagawine is a mobile application dedicated to wine lovers, whether connoisseurs or neophytes. It enables its 150,000 users to discover and share their opinions on wines, simply by taking photos of their labels, via their smartphone.
Winetaggers can :
– Find out more before you buy, by accessing information on the 45,000 wines listed in the database: other consumers’ opinions, maturity, food and wine pairing suggestions, observed prices.
– Enrich the knowledge of the “Winetaggers” community by sharing their own discoveries.
– Remember their tastings, write them down, comment on them
– Geolocate a point of sale near you where you can find the wine you’ve selected.
– Be redirected to the application’s partner merchants, such as Millésima, iDealwine, Vinatis, Wine Republik or Crus, to buy the bottle they’re interested in directly online.
Cellar management option
Just as Tagawine makes navigation smooth and pleasant, the cellar management option is extremely easy to use. To take advantage of this feature, users must register their cellar by taking photos of their wine labels, or by using the application’s search directory. Once the wines have been registered, Winetaggers can easily take advantage of all the services offered by this option:
– Tag a new bottle to register it, or tag the one about to be drunk to remove it from stock.
– Consult their wines by region, color, maturity, and identify what might be missing: Bordeaux, Burgundy, rosé…
– Track the value of their cellar and the difference between purchase prices and prices observed by other users
– By taking advantage of the community’s advice on wines deemed mature by other users, the price and suggested pairings, it becomes very easy to find the right wine to take out for a dinner party.
No need for a notebook, notepad or Excel file, users can access all their cellar information via their smartphone, right at their fingertips, whether in the store or at a friend’s house.
What’s more, the option can be accessed offline. So even in a basement cellar, with no Internet connection, the cellar management system remains up and running. Users can manage their cellar movements via the app, which will be synchronized once the connection is available again.
