Octavio Pizarro’s Autumn Winter 2015 2016 collection is a tribute to the woman who inspires him and whom he has always designed: a woman with a strong character, chic and confident, with a feminine and contemporary silhouette.
This new collection offers a complete wardrobe, from sporty chic day silhouettes to evening dresses, its common thread is black. Black has always been a signature color in Octavio Pizarro’s collections, and this season he has worked it into several shades. He combines innovative Plexiglas embroidery with different materials to create patchworks of geometric patterns. Opposites mix: mesh and leather, neoprene and noble materials such as silk satin.
Of course, knitwear, so dear to her heart, the flagship material of her collections and the focus of her research for several seasons, is also very much in evidence. Handmade pieces in alpaca, mohair and angora add roundness to the structured silhouettes of state-of-the-art jacquard pieces.
A few touches of green complete the collection, symbolizing freedom and balance.
