Dany Atrache’s remix of an air reminiscent of the days of royalty, of a time of dancing in the gilded salons of palaces, is a farandole of light veils and embroidery, turning burgundy and black at night. The designer, who claims to have been inspired by the Roman monarchy, in no way offers dresses that are relics of that prestigious past. Instead, transparencies and lengths are revisited in radically modern airs. It’s an encounter between the wide A-skirted dresses of the nobles and the slender allure of the mystical nymphs who enchanted the stories exchanged between two dances.

From flowery violet to deep black, a starry black with silver touches that bring summer skies to life, Dany Atrache works with velvet, silk crepe, giuipure and lace in ways both traditional and original. Hand-stitched models are sometimes reinterpreted with laser cutting. This cutting-edge technique allows for graphic cuts that stand out from the beaten track. This technique is increasingly used by designers to give a priori classic silhouettes a mischievous modernity, inscribing them in the dances of their time.

Light, spring-like, modern and mastering the techniques of haute couture, this collection is more than an “invitation to the ball”, it’s a celebration of fine, delicate fabrics, revealing the refined sensuality of a woman at the height of her charms. A ball with extensions… Boudoir doors slamming shut
