It was the event of the end of June: Cinema Paradiso set the Grand Palais alight. On Friday June 26, at the end of a sold-out evening (for both film screenings and the hip-hop Yard Party), the second edition of Cinema Paradiso came to a successful close.

Nearly 80,000 visitors strolled through the Nave of the Grand Palais for a totally new and redesigned gastronomic, cinema and clubbing experience. “I’m very satisfied with Cinema Paradiso 2015 and delighted by the audience’s infectious joy. Our partners and teams have succeeded in turning this pharaonic project into a moment of sharing in the heart of Paris” declared Elisha Karmitz, founder of Cinema Paradiso and Managing Director of MK2 Agency.

The monumental scenography, consisting of 1,500m2 of suspended mirrors with magical optical effects, seduced Instagrammers, whose snapshots invaded social networks for 11 days. From beds, armchairs, boxes or bleachers, spectators in both cinemas were able to attend the previews. For our part, it was ENTOURAGE, thanks to Piper Heidsieck, the cinema’s champagne, which enabled us to experience an unforgettable evening in the company of Adrian Grenier.

The program also included cult films such as MANHATTAN, TOP GUN, LE GRAND BLEU, THE BIG LEBOWSKI, ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, JURASSIC PARK, RESERVOIR DOGS, OSS117, TITANIC…

Jean Imbert’s gourmet restaurant, perched 12 meters above the A room, was fully booked every evening, with prestigious guests including Guillaume Canet, Marion Cotillard, Woodkid and Caroline de Maigret. The three lanes of the Chanel “Take your Chance” bowling alley were a huge hit.

Inspired by the advertising film directed by Jean-Paul Goude for CHANCE Eau Vive, the bowling alley saw strikes every day until late into the night to keep up with the influx of players. Free dance classes attracted over 10,000 salsaleros, rock dancers and tango dancers.

And over 10,000 people joined the Just Dance movement, dancing to the rhythm of the interactive animation provided by Coca-Cola.

The SuperClub evenings brought Parisian nights to life for almost two weeks. The SuperClub will be remembered by the more than 30,000 people who attended, with the largest Boiler Room ever organized, Recondite’s spellbinding live set at HAIKU, a hectic House of Mask evening with Kavinsky and Breakbot…my god we had a memorable evening listening to these mixes, thanks Cubanisto!
