The Balvenie extends its range of Single Barrels and unveils the eldest of its triad: the 25-year-old Single Barrel. It joins the House’s other two Single Barrels, The Balvenie Single Barrel First Fill 12 years and The Balvenie Single Barrel Sherry Cask 15 years.
For 25 years, The Balvenie Single Barrel 25 ans matures exclusively in a traditional American oak barrel.

The qualities of this wood are exacerbated by the work of The Balvenie’s cooper craftsmen, who, by burning the inside of the casks, enable the wood to reveal a formidable aromatic richness. Over the years, time sublimates this know-how, and aromas of caramel, vanilla, wood and spices are diffused, until perfect maturation is achieved.
Each cask gives birth to a limited edition of 300 bottles, then numbered by hand.
With this new 25-Year-Old Single Barrel, The Balvenie celebrates the unique nature of Single Casks, where each cask produces inimitable bottles. David Stewart’s art lies in his ability to select the casks that will give this Single Malt the desired aromas, and to ensure its perfect evolution over the 25 years of maturation.
Tasting notes
The aroma of Single Barrel 25 ans has the complexity of a mature whisky, a symphony of sweet, honeyed and woody notes, topped by a fragrant, fruity bouquet. On the palate, the initial dryness explodes into caramelized flavors, wrapped in vanilla and woody notes.

Mouth – Honey and passion fruit
Finish – Peppery spices
Unchill-filtered, it is bottled at 47.8% alcohol.
