Louis Vuitton presented its new 2016 Cruise collection in Palm Springs to an audience of 500 guests, including Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kanye West. The show was held in an architectural jewel dating from 1973, designed by architect John Lautner.
It’s a landscape, a global atmosphere that shapes this Cruise collection. Bringing to life, for the duration of a fashion show, this building set like a concrete dome in the desert.
Models stroll around, some dressed in long fabrics, sometimes contradicted by others at the height of short clothing. They embody the ambiguous ambience exuded by Los Angeles and its surroundings, a protean city stretching to infinity.
A strange territory where Hollywood dreams and the fascination of the news meet. A magnetic territory where the essence of glamour mingles with an obscure gothic desire. A fascinating territory of conquering architecture.
