For Swarovski, each new season is an opportunity to present a versatile, fashionable collection. A collection that responds to the desires of modern, multi-faceted women. With the touch of glamour and sparkle that is Swarovski’s DNA, the Autumn/Winter 2015-2016 “Winter Gardens” collection draws its inspiration from nature, and more specifically, from gardens. “Nature is an infinite source of inspiration, and after celebrating flowers in our last Spring/Summer collection, we now offer an autumnal interpretation of flora and fauna. I was inspired by textiles representing an idealized nature, such as vintage tapestry from English manor houses, devoured velvet, as well as ornamental lace with feminine and romantic accents. Through the creative process, we transformed them into modern gems enriched with touches of history,” explains Artistic Director Nathalie Colin. Foliage takes the form of lace-like filigree motifs, while insects and moths become stylized pendants in a palette of autumn flowers and berries.
Daphne
The collection offers a wide choice of easy-to-wear pieces, from the most delicate to the most daring, from the most timeless to the most fashionable, ensuring you’ll find the perfect piece whatever the mood or occasion.
A major influence, the idea of a Zen garden infuses the collection with a touch that is at once organic, minimal and sensual. Clean lines are combined with curved metal to create a modern, elegant silhouette. The “Dusky” necklace illustrates this contemporary reference to nature, with its drop-shaped crystals illuminating a curved base in gilded metal enhanced by a leather chain.” Dusky” follows in the vein of round necklaces that punctuate necklines with style, like a finishing touch. The lines of “Stardust” are as simple as its brilliance is maximal; having become a must-have in 3 seasons with its color variations and ability to instantly inject a touch of glamour and light into any look, “Stardust” arrives in a deluxe version. The 730 tiny crystals present in the single version and the 1460 crystals in the double version are now inserted in a metal tube that replaces the fishnet nylon tube, for maximum brilliance. In keeping with the metal mix trend, “Stardust” deluxe is available in gold, rose and silver. “Stardust” is also now a brand-new, supple, lightweight necklace featuring fishnet links filled with mini crystals, for a joyful, casual and modern look.
Dusky
In a completely different register, the gardens of English manor houses are the collection’s second source of inspiration. Devoured velvet, antique tapestry motifs and jagged cut-outs are interpreted in a palette subtly declining shades of violet, mauve and plum. A case in point is the imposing “Dramatic” necklace. Ornamental and sophisticated, “Dramatic” features a play of texture and embroidery that gives it richness and refinement, all with a surprising lightness thanks to its microfiber base. In a dark palette of blacks, grays and purples borrowed from the season’s wilting flowers, faceted crystal maxi medallions are surrounded by crystals hand-set using the exclusive Pointiage® technique. The “Diana” necklace and ring play on the mix of materials, with a metal base that gives pride of place to an accumulation of pink-toned crystals, in a graphic, contemporary spirit. After the influence of flowers, insects are represented by the “Daphné” pendants. They blend classic colors, with crystals in hues echoing those of precious stones, and abstract lines, with filigree butterfly wings. Worn separately, these pendants are delicate and feminine. Accumulated at different heights, they create a trendy, stylish silhouette.
Diana
With its many facets, the Autumn/Winter 2015-16 “Winter Gardens” collection ensures that every woman can find the jewel or watch that will add a touch of glamour and sparkle to any outfit, from a little black dress to a total denim look.
