For this season, Dior Horlogerie has strengthened its ties with couture. The timepieces are thus aligned with a graphic vision and adorned with feathers and gold.
The sublime Dior VIII Grand Bal Frou-Frou, Envol and Cancan creations are set in 20th-century time, with names based on Christian Dior’s iconic models, playing on the fantasy, extravagance and creative audacity of the era. Dior’s signature colors, such as Grandville pink and Dior gray, embellish dials covered with sparkling precious stones.
Then came the Dior VIII watch, the essential incarnation of the collection. Originally offered in ceramic, now available in steel and gold, it offers two facets of elegance in two sizes: a graceful 25-mm and a more assertive 32-mm. In immaculate white and dense black ceramic or alligator reminiscent of the catwalk, this model is at the cutting edge of fashion, while remaining true to the brand’s original DNA.
More pop and cheeky, Dior’s La D, with its candy-bar diameter of 19 mm, opts for a striking, graphic contrast between a lizard strap colored in gradations and an intensely black dial.
Last but not least, the Chiffre Rouge men’s collection is enriched by a new complication model that combines technical sophistication, graphic design and elegance. Combining an Elite movement with second time zone, small seconds and date from the Zenith manufacture with a silvered opaline dial adorned with touches of yellow gold, the Chiffre Rouge C05 has all the assets of a watchmaking classic, while embodying with refinement the spirit of Dior Homme.
The new Dior Horlogerie timepieces skilfully turn back the hands of time, drawing inspiration from the house’s pure DNA while keeping up with the times, with a definite taste for color that is also found in the ready-to-wear collections.
