Second show for Léa Peckre, now on the official Paris calendar. At the Institut du Monde Arabe, the designer chose to present a collection based on the trouser suit. She gave it a new definition, starting with darker colors inspired by the old men’s suits made of woollen cloth. She plays with volume, adding pleats and flaps on the front of loose-fitting pants and jackets with pronounced shoulders. One of Léa Peckre’s flagship materials, denim, is fringed at the edges and then all along the garment, forming tree roots that stretch out. The link with nature is always present, but the designer, winner of the Hyères Festival in 2011, adds her own personal, modern touch, and continues on her way. Note the young lemon on fine sweaters and sheer tops, which bring a freshness that stands out.
