In the mood for love… For a Chinese Girl… Roberto Cavalli’s collection is perfumed with oriental fragrances, including a leitmotif floral print and details such as pagoda-shaped gold buttons. We find all the designer’s favorite codes, with animal prints and numerous pearl and sequin embroideries. The contemporary silhouette is accentuated by Plexiglas heeled boots. Long, pleated dresses with bare waists are sensual and float over the body. Short and long follow one another at a frenetic pace. The color saffron floods the catwalk with its brilliance. Delicate chiffon blouses with ruffles. Raw denim also makes an appearance for a straight, slit skirt adorned with gold buttons. Silk bangs protrude from a long coat, creating the illusion of new fur. The designer remains evasive about future projects for his eponymous label. He does, however, have one wish: that people will be talking about Roberto Cavalli for a long time to come.
