A new DSquared2 collection mixing influences and details with a nod to Canada, the country of origin of founding designers Dean & Dan Caten. After celebrating their twentieth anniversary in January with men’s collections, Dean & Dan Caten are continuing with their women’s collections, while remembering their origins: Canada. On the catwalk, fur and woollen skin play an important role. Graphic, geometric patterns imposed a new aesthetic, blended with a strong military influence, with reworked, embroidered officer’s jackets, calf-length pants and fuller-leg trousers. A wardrobe made up almost exclusively of pants for a woman who is still ultra glamorous at DSquared2. Feathers, rhinestones, jewels, gold threads and tassels adorn every piece in the wardrobe. A collection that brilliantly mixes influences, with numerous artisanal details that take us on a journey to faraway lands. Warming fashion for next winter!
