Miuccia Prada’s collection is visually strong and successful, with fifties reminiscences in cuts and volumes, but modernized by a mix & match of pastel and acidic hues.the colors of Prada’s set (a succession of pieces as for men) set the tone for the collection! A retro-futuristic wardrobe of suits with slightly flared pants and double-breasted jackets. Double-faced jersey, which gives the appearance of neoprene, gives the silhouette a rigid, protective allure. Little dresses and trapeze skirts are embellished with fur patches. Long leather gloves adorn the arms of sleeveless jackets. Prince-de-galles and a graphic motif then take over the wardrobe. A plain leather skirt and jacket combine with this season’s new graphics. In the evening, little strapless dresses are adorned with embroidery and floral brooches. Note the wide-heeled babies. Miuccia Prada’s collection is visually strong and successful, with reminiscences of the fifties in the cuts and volumes, but modernized by this mix & match of pastel and acid shades.
