Jonathan Anderson, talented designer and artistic director of Loewe, knows how to surprise and provoke. With his own label, he likes to play with materials and create eye-catching new silhouettes, like this first model, a gold dress draped over the front and tightened by a graphic belt, worn over tall bright yellow boots. Then follow shiny blouses in the same style, coordinated with colored leather skirts ending in a criss-cross front with a buckle. Landscape-patterned knit sweaters matched their pants. The ’80s are here, and Jonathan reinterprets them with freedom and fun. He plays with bright colors and volume, notably with loose sleeves pulled back. The wrap-around look of chunky leather coats with a single button fastening seduces the audience. These new “party girls”, as the designer calls them, are likely to find their way onto many a girl and fashionista… And don’t forget the new accessories: graphic triangular bags and big, brightly-colored boots.
