With the Mystère soundtrack specially designed for the show, Saint Laurent once again celebrates youth, music and Paris in its own way. With the Mystère soundtrack specially designed for the show, Saint Laurent once again celebrates youth, music and Paris in its own way. With an added touch of nostalgia, perhaps, reminiscent of the Serge Gainsbourg / Jane Birkin couple at the start of their romance. Perhaps it’s the effect of the beret worn on several male and female silhouettes. The slim-fit is still de rigueur, while the short jacket is available as a perfecto, a khaki bomber, a black or white blazer, a down jacket, a large cape, a zebra, rhinestone or silver jacket, and even a bright pink coat… There are plenty of tempting options to choose from. In the end, there’s something for everyone. Creative director Hedi Slimane has understood this very well, multiplying the offer and proposing highly polished looks (the aim of which is to make people believe otherwise) while paying homage to this arty, stylish youth. Of particular note: polka-dot or printed shirts, worn over skinny ties and, of course, accessories.
