Who is COS? Exclusive meeting at the Palais de Tokyo with Karin Gustafsson, Director of the COS Women’s Studio. She tells us who’s behind this London-based label belonging to H&M. COS, H&M’s London-based creative line founded in 2009, is now expanding in 20 countries. The minimalist, highly architectural spirit of the garments increasingly attracts a stylish, cultured clientele, who like to find wardrobe basics (the white shirt, the black dress, the pea coat, etc.) twisted in beautiful materials but at affordable prices. Like ACNE and other Scandinavian labels, COS emphasizes its links with various art forms, even creating partnerships with major museums, most recently with the installation of Numen at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, as part of the “Inside” exhibition.
