Tailoring chic, military suits and sportswear define Alexander McQueen’s new wardrobe. The English fashion house continues to offer a singular universe, not only by staging its men’s collection in a disused hangar, but also by proposing distinctive silhouettes of absolute elegance. Pants are loose-fitting and mid-calf, while jackets are short or transformed into frock coats. Words like “Honneur” (Honor), “Vérité” (Truth), “Valeur” (Value) are printed on several pieces, while flowers are drawn in the form of crosses on a jacket or on the edges of a pair of pants. The two colors, burgundy and blue, stand out. Note the touch of chic velvet for evening wear, unless you opt for stone embroidery or rhinestone stars on black suits.
