For summer 2015, Maison Martin Margiela remains true to its codes through a collection with no surprises but composed of good basics. The nude bodysuit is worn on dresses and apron skirts featuring metallic discs and lacing. Asymmetry is also present, as is the idea of trompe l’oeil around an entirely uncovered leg on bustier dresses. Hand embroidery and Japanese prints add a fresh touch to this summer collection. And let’s not forget the must-have outfits that always work perfectly: the black pantsuit, the bathrobe coat, the mini-sweater or the perfect-fitting jeans.
