A clever mix & match of arty, sporty and couture at Dsquared2Volumes define next summer’s new Dsquared2 silhouette, supported by a strong color palette assembled in color block and numerous embellishments. Despite the serious air of the models sporting large black-rimmed glasses, the mood was cheerful. Twins Dean & Dan Caten blended different worlds, this time from sport to couture, through the numerous drapes, ruching, pleating and feathering that adorned voluminous long skirts and, above all, through embroidery that gave this wardrobe extreme sophistication. Jeans with holes are paired with a coat entirely embroidered with sequins, and fleece shorts with multicolored sequined leggings. The omnipresent leather structures an ultra-short white T-shirt or jacket. A masculine pink suit worn with low-rise pants proves that designers also excel as master tailors. A clever mix & match of arty, sporty and couture that revives this summer ready-to-wear.
