For ten years now, Carole and Philippe Tailleur have been sharing with their customers the products that make their daily lives a feast for the palate. The first bread & roses address opened in 2004, on the corner of rue Madame and rue Fleurus, in the 6th arrondissement.
Lovers of Saint-Germain des Prés quickly fell in love with the place Lovers of Saint-Germain
des Prés quickly fell in love with the place, which is a bakery, patisserie, delicatessen and tea room with a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Ten years later, Bread & Roses, rive gauche is a must-visit place where you can enjoy both the authenticity of the products and the elegant simplicity of the setting.
And to welcome its customers in the best possible conditions, Bread & Roses is expanding!
With this first boutique, bread & roses reinvents the neighborhood grocery-caterer where you can pick up your bread, a few cheeses, a jam, a cooked salad, smoked salmon, eggplant caviar, a savory tart…
The address that makes everyday life easier becomes, with bread & roses, the one that delights it! Faithful to their commitment to fresh produce and genuine, balanced flavours, Carole and Philippe Tailleur offer a selection of home-made products, or those purchased from selected artisans in France, Great Britain, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.
The new bread & roses boutique brings together the essentials for a quick lunch at the office, a dinner with the family, a snack with friends… and simply for enjoying exceptional products every day.
The Left Bank tearoom gets a makeover
The Left Bank tearoom, meanwhile, has taken on a new dimension. The space has been redesigned to create a larger room, and the new décor plays on the elegance of fine materials and clean lines: furniture in American walnut and cork, by the Portuguese firm Around the tree, comfortable velvet seating, and large bay windows that bring a beautiful luminosity to the space.
For breakfast, enjoy the Cooked Breakfast (scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, salad and a large slice of sandwich bread with Echiré butter), fresh citrus juices made fresh up to the minute, and the famous bread & roses brioche.
For lunch, the freshness of the produce and the generosity of the plates are a recipe for success at this address, which is always full and has a loyal following! The fantastic house burger, club sandwiches or the classic Cæsar salad with organic chicken and 30-month Parmesan cheese.
At snack time, you can turn to the sweet shop window, where you’ll find classic French pastries, New York cheesecake and carrot cake, scones and sticky toffee pudding…
At the end of the day, take a break with a cocktail or glass of wine, accompanied by a plate of Iberian ham.
One of bread & roses’ core products is organic bread, baked daily in the rue Madame bakery since
it opened in 2004.

Atelier bread & roses, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, is the place to go for pastries, savory tarts and quiches.
In the bread & roses pastry shop windows, color, opulence and the authenticity of generous gourmet products are the order of the day.
Chocolate and fruit tarts, millefeuilles and Paris Brest tarts rub shoulders with New York Cheese Cake, with its smooth cream on a speculoos cookie, carrot cake and red fruit tiramisu.
If all that hasn’t made your mouth water, there’s nothing more we can do for you!
There’s nothing like it after a long day of shopping or work.
