Hublot unveiled the new referee panel for the FIFA™ Football World Cup on June 12, 2014.
The panel, which is used by referees, indicates additional time and signals player changes. The new design is
directly inspired by the original Hublot watch design.
A new, optimized design that integrates the laws of the game, a more ergonomic grip, a weight strictly controlled throughout its technical development to avoid sustained and unnecessary effort, and an aesthetic worked to be not only practical but now also beautiful to look at.
Originally a utilitarian object with a practical design, it is now becoming an iconic object, symbolizing the measurement of time, with its design now reminiscent of a watch.
