New Converse x Maison Martin Margiela collaboration

Converse-Margiela

“We are delighted to offer a new expression of the incredible collaboration between Converse and La Maison”. Maison Martin Margiela.

Converse and Maison Martin Margiela renew their collaboration for a second collection of limited-edition First String sneakers, available from May 23, 2014. The original concept plays on the wear of hand-painted white paint and soft, comfortable leather.

The collaboration develops the concept of an evolving layer of white paint – depending on wear and tear – on the Converse All Star Chuck “70” and the Converse Jack Purcell in premium leather. The more the sneakers are worn, the looser the paint layer becomes. Cracking over time, to reveal through four different styles – Amberand Navy for the Converse All Star Chuck “70”, Bleu Azur and Carmine Red for the Jack Purcell – the original colors “inherited” from the Converse archives.

The discreet Maison Martin Margiel logo is simply and elegantly inscribed on the tongue, and all pairs come with optional painted and unpainted laces to change your style to suit your mood!
