KOMONO X JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT
The Belgian brand KOMONO is expanding its watch range with six new models, taken from the canvases of graffiti artist and painter Jean-Michel BASQUIAT. Released in a limited edition on May 15 at Colette, the mixed accessories play on the colors and trends of the moment in a retro-futuristic style.
The collaboration with Basquiat’s heirs uses the tortured beauty, pop colors and raw energy of the artist’s work. KOMONO thus blurs the codes of classic and modern, transposing the accessory to a way of life.
Each model, produced in 1,000 pieces, features a fabric strap with a unique print corresponding to a piece of canvas, offering the wearer the pleasure of an inimitable timepiece.
