Here’s a selection of LIP watches with Tennis Nato straps for a sporty chic look!
The origins of the NATO bracelet date back to the 60s, when the British Ministry of Defence was looking for a hard-wearing strap to equip its armies’ endowment watches. Its military origins are still reflected in its name (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation)!

The models bear the singular name of “Panoramic”. This name corresponds to the distinctive shape of the glass, giving the sensation of a dial floating above a bracelet. Reissued, this watch remains a fine innovation from the House of Lip, whose “saucer”-shaped case is sure to stand out.

The Himalaya model:
The friendship between Fred Lip and Maurice Herzog gave birth to this model, which took its name from the Himalayas, home to the world’s highest peaks. Created in 1954 and produced in 1973, this watch was the brand’s benchmark for efficiency and reliability. Associated with many sporting events, “it equipped all expeditions”, including the Tour de France, where it rewarded the best sportsman of the day.

The “electronic” model:
It was after a trip to the USA that Fred LIP embarked on the adventure of the electronic watch, with the aim of dethroning the mechanical watch. It was with this “Général de Gaulle” model that the dream became reality, and was crowned with success and technical recognition in 1952.
The gold case and silver dial version is a replica of the one presented to General de Gaulle in 1958.
