A few days ago, Christophe celebrated the release of his new opus “Intime” at Le Silencio. A magnetic moment. Here’s the inside story.

Le Silencio is the hippest club of the moment. That’s where Christophe chose to hold his launch party. The program included short films, a concert and a poker game.
10pm, a queue of a dozen people in front of the Silencio. I’m entering this place for the first time. The place was imagined by David Linch, and it really works.

10:30pm, Christophe arrives. Alone. Piano/vocals. Lots of emotion in the room for those in the front row. At the back of the room, I can barely make out the singer as he climbs onto a table. “Les mots bleus”, “les paradis perdus”, “Aline”. The classics are out.
At 00:30, Christophe follows up with a poker game with some pretty young ladies, including Elodie Frege and Pascal Clark. A hushed atmosphere in the Black Room.
