Closed in November 2008, the Vincennes Zoo underwent several months of renovation. Completely redesigned, it reopens next Saturday. Preview images.
Created in 1934, the Parc Zoologique de Paris is an institution. A place to which Parisians are very attached. Last Saturday, I was given a sneak preview.

During my visit, the lion sleeps, frustrating hundreds of visitors. I pass a group of giraffes. In the aviary, I get a close-up view of a hundred pink flamingos. Astonishing! Guinea Baboons bicker and amuse the children. After two hours, I’ve had an eyeful.
As we leave the premises, we pass through the boutique. The Vincennes Zoo is a really pleasant place to stroll and discover an incredibly rich fauna. The park will appeal to young and old alike.
