TSOLO MUNKH, THE POWER OF MATERIALS

Experimenting with textile techniques and leatherwork, Tsolo Munkh has developed a specific style for this A/W 14.15 collection. His creation is atypical. A piece of honeycombed leather has been progressively covered with sheep’s wool.

The material is transformed, alive.

Leather straps are woven together, creating surprising, never-before-seen volumes.

Textiles are the image of the soul, living many lives, emerging in many states. They reveal themselves, ready to serve art.

Dresses, skirts and coats reflect the world of the steppes and the myths of Mongolia. Some pieces are intriguingly reversible or repositionable. Such a dress features volume at the waist.

In an instant, as if by miracle, the front becomes the back. The front then appears like a bib. Playfulness is not absent from the spirit of this collection.

The passes spread out, defying space.

Dresses are diversifying. American armholes, zip fastenings, high collars. Variations abound.

While leatherworking is the dominant style, other interesting alternatives are also on offer.

Real experiments are essential.
