JULIUS, Autumn-Winter 14-15.

For this new Autumn-Winter 14-15 season, Julius, an avant-garde Japanese brand, paraded at the Maison des Métallos, Salle noire, in Paris’s 11th arrondissement. Not far from amazing, the Julius house, known and often associated with the “dark” aestheticism widely claimed by its designer, plunged us into near darkness before, during and after the show.

With its jerky, stromboscope lighting, the atmosphere is deliberately offbeat.

The models are dressed in black. With their sharp, fitted silhouettes, slim or draped versions, and omnipresent leather, Julius men love darkness and total black.

With his intense black hair and pale complexion, the designer plays on his history and reputation.

Revisited boots, avant-garde backpacks, the Julius allure confronts two allures: the casualness of the pieces and the architectural complexity of the looks.

The models’ steps are jerky, adjusted to the play of light, and once again confirm the artistic singularity of the Japanese brand, which should be attracting attention very soon.
